CALENDULA SALVE vegan

Description

My vegan calendula salve is made with simple ingredients and works beautifully as an after-care tattoo salve. Calendula is also well-known as an effective diaper rash ointment. I grow and dry the calendula flower petals right here at Covenant Farm. The petals are covered with pure olive oil and gently heated over a period of time to produce a beautiful golden infused oil. In place of beeswax, I have used candelilla wax for those of you who live a vegan lifestyle. Candelilla wax is derived from the leaves of a small shrub native to Northern Mexico and the Southwest U.S. Calendula has been used for thousands of years and in many cultures to treat cuts, bruises, burns, and minor skin infections. Rich in beta-carotene and complex polysaccharides, calendula is antibacterial and has immunostimulant properties. The herb stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites and can minimize scarring. Works well to soften rough cuticles and dry feet as well! Salve comes in a 2 oz tin.*
