Simply Delicious Fork Nest Necklace

I love to think of all the things this wonderful little fork must have seen in its life. From factory, to table, perhaps passed along from Mother to child. Then sadly into a wooden box which sat on the chilly ground at the outdoor flea market in Lambertsville, New Jersey waiting for someone like me to come along and discover it and grab it up along with a few others for the purpose of making this necklace...Ahhh I love to think like this when it comes to found objects.
This necklace is made from a perfect vintage fork which I altered, curled, bent, and added a little bezel-porthole for curiosity sake. Inside is a little egg stone and some moss.
A vintage rhinestone pin is re-purposed and used to support the fork along with a brilliant array of aqua blue, silver, gold, and bronze tone beads and stones and a smattering of other vintage chains.
The clasp is most enjoyable and unexpected as I have used a simple lobster clasp and an old simple gold ring with little clear stones to hold onto.
