Our ballad to the hippie series. Hippie is a smooth mysterious, sensual blend, just like our favorite hippies. It is a natural earthy blend of Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Sandalwood, & a hint of Vanilla. Together, said to be perfect for meditation & centering the soul. Ylang Ylang possesses a sweet, intensely floral, jasmine-like aroma. It is said to often be used as an anti-depressant as well as a spiritual balancer. Ylang ylang has a reputation for acting as an aphrodisiac. Ylang ylang is thought to balance hormones, PMS and menopausal symptoms. Patchouli possesses a warm, mellow, earthy scent that was especially popular in the 1960s. It is an said to be an effective anti-depressant and stress reliever. Sandalwood is thought to balance the mind and spirit, aid in meditation, calms the nervous system, and also work as an aphrodisiac, especially for men. Peace to hippies everywhere! :-)

Our 4 oz. natural artesian soaps are made from all natural, all vegetable, organic, botanical and Louisiana, when available, nourishing ingredients. It is cruelty-free soap that you can feel good about using with your family. This soap doesnt skimp on flavor or fun. You will find goats milk, honey & shea in all of our soaps and most of our other products. Goats milk & honey is wonderful for sensitive and mature skin alike. Use it on your face, your feet, or your bum. Our soap has excellent moisturizing quality without a greasy feel. It will leave your skin so soft you may not need a moisturizer, Yikes!

Oils are selectively chosen for their quality and ability to protect, heal skin conditions, and provide balanced moisture. Essential oils are used for natural fragrance. It is aromatic and colorful, sure to refresh and uplift the dustiest of bodies & spirits!

The final product is a little wetter than most commercial soaps. Thats just because it is bursting with nutritious oils, humectants & goodness, while still producing a long lasting bar. As with all of our products, they do not contain foaming agents or petroleum products.

All of our natural artisian bath & body products are handcrafted in our country kitchen from the very finest ingredients available to us. We use only the best of everything from the oils, scents and bases to the packaging. Why we make soap is like trying to explain why we bake our cookies from scratch instead of buying a package at the grocery store, why we brew our coffee instead of drinking instant...

You may be surprised to learn that most commercial soaps you buy are not really soap at all but, technically chemical filler based detergent! Detergent based soap got its start in the industrial era when oils where scarce & detergent vs. oil-based soap could be made and processed though machinery quite cheaply.

The skin is our largest organ, absorbing 60% of what we put on it. With our medical background this concerned us. Detergent soap can be linked to an array of skin conditions including dry & itchy skin, eczema, & psoriasis. All of our soaps are made of natural plant based (organic & Louisiana when available) ingredients. They are not made with animal fats (tallow), nor are they animal tested (just family & friend tested!). As with all our products, they do not contain foaming agents or petroleum products. They are also hypoallergenic and do not clog pores.

Essential oils & botanicals are used to scent for their wonderful aromatherapy effect and the beneficial properties they provide. For the less than most, we use high quality fragrance oil. What are you putting on your skin?

All soaps are wrapped in protective wax tissue paper and carefully boxed, beautifully labeled, and sealed with our wax seal of approval. Like opening a little piece of indulgence in every box!

Ingredients include: Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Glycerin, Purified Water, Sorbitol (derived from berries), Sorbitan Oleate, Soy Protein, Shea Oil, Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil, Goat's Milk, Wild Harvested Raw La. Honey, Calendula, Aloe, Essential oil Blend, Vitamin E,

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: GET DIRTY, MAKESUDS, GET DIRTY, REPEAT.

The Good Stuff::

*Coconut Oil- Great for dry, itchy and sensitive skin, it doesn't clog pores and absorbs readily into the skin.

*Palm Oil- Softening to the skin and makes an excellent, naturally fluffy lather.

*Castor Oil- Rich in fatty acids, it soothes and lubricates the skin. Acting as a humectant, it attracts moisture to the skin.

*Safflower Oil- With a very high percentage of linoleic acid, it helps to moisturize, nourish and restructure the skin.

*Glycerin- It is a humectant that draws moisture to itself; therefore, it is believed that glycerin helps the skin remain moisturized by drawing moisture to it.

*Purified Water-Water that has been filtered to purity

*Sorbitol- This is a sweet liquid that is added to the soap for its great moisturizing properties and is made from berries.

*Sorbitan Oleate- This is an emulsifier which is used to help the mixture of ingredients bond together.

*Soybean Protein- Made from soybeans, this is a great skin conditioner.

* Organic Virgin Coconut oil: has been found to be the best source of monolaurin, a well known antiseptic substance found in breast milk, natural antifungal, moisturizer & protectant

* Shea Butter/ Oil: it protects the skin against weather, sun, elasticity and aging. It is a well-known anti-inflammatory to assist cutaneous dryness, dermatitis and dermatoses, eczema, solar erythema and burns. It is a well known in helping moisturize while providing a silky protective barrier to all skin types.

* Vitamin E: anti-oxidant, protectant

* Aloe: botanical long been considered to be a premier botanical for moisturizing and healing the skin.

* Calendula: botanical most recognized for its ability to help heal wounds and abrasions

* Goats Milk: natural emollient that helps balance the skins natural pH and promotes natural exfoliation of dry skin. Goats milk is high in protein, triglycerides, Vitamin A, B6, B12 and E making it an excellent natural moisturizer that helps hydrate and nourish skin. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth with a hydrated appearance. An effective and softening skin cleanser. Milk proteins smooth, firm and soften the skin. Milk is high in hydrophilic (water) and lipophilic (fat) factors and has beneficial vitamins and sugars. It has excellent nutritive value, is packed with proteins, beneficial fats, vitamins, amino acids and calcium. It is easily absorbed into the skin. Milk has a long standing in beauty history. Many of the historic beauties testified to milks effectiveness with their faithful use of milk in their beauty regime. Cleopatra took aromatic milk baths, Emperor Nero's wife Poppea bathed in milk and even Marie Antoinette used buttermilk to prevent wrinkles.

* Honey: the sweet material taken from the nectar of flowers and manufactured by bees. It is high in vitamin C and promotes collagen formation in the skin. It is a natural humectant (drawing in moisture) antibacterial & antimicrobial. Used since Egyptian times for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Honey is full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. Has an emollient property, is soothing and humectant. Emollients make the skin feel softer and smoother, reduce rough feeling, cracking and irritation. Honey is cleansing and antibacterial. Bacteria cannot live in honey, which demonstrates its natural preservative properties. a natural anti oxidant and anti-inflammatory.
