Variety pack of handmade papers in a rainbow of colors plus patchouli paper and plantable paper

Description

This listing is for the 15 sheets of handmade papers shown. They measure approximately 5.5 x 8.5 inches each.

You will receive THREE sheets each of the following colors:
yellow, raspberry, blue and green plus three sheets of white paper with cut patchouli leaf inclusions and three sheets of purple paper embedded with perennial seeds, including poppies, forget-me-not, snapdragon, cone flower, baby’s breath, baby blue eyes, flax and more. (See the third photo for an example of my saffron paper sprouting!)

Use this handmade paper by folding in half for an instant card, for scrapbooking, making your own gift tags, as the base for an invitation with a vellum overlay (see fourth photo for example), as stationery, to use as the cover for a handmade journal, for wrapping small gift items, for unique clothes for a paper doll...

Each sheet of paper is individually made by hand using an art form created by the Chinese over 1,000 years ago. I sift through my junk mail, old bills, letters and the like to find the highest quality paper. (You have to start with good paper to end up with good paper!) I do not use bleaches or dyes to color my paper. The color is determined from the scraps I use. I shred the recycled paper, combine it with water to make a pulp. A frame with a screen is pulled through the water to catch the pulp, which forms a sheet of paper that I air dry.

This paper has been made from paper that already has sizing added to it, which means that you can write on this paper and the ink won’t feather out as it would on unsized paper (see the last photo).
