Description

Siskiyou Tom the turkey is all wide eyes and fluttery wings but he has nothing to worry about; with his bright colors, he's sure to be a star come Thanksgiving. This hanging uses a variety of techniques. The spread tail feathers and waving grass were hand colored with permanent ink on cotton fabric. The rest of the turkey - head, body, wings, and feet - were needle felted directly on top of the tail using natural animal fibers. Googly eyes and a big, needle felted beak add the final touches. The wide border, backing and hanging loops are made of a bright Thanksgiving print cotton. This hanging is completely original and one of a kind. Wouldn't you love to invite him to your house for Thanksgiving?

Hanging: 3 1/2" loop sewn on back (extends 1" over top).
