Original signed photograph, featuring a bright purple thistle in bloom.
Thistles are the National Flower of Scotland. Legend has it that when a foreign army was preparing to sneak attack at night, one of the soldiers stepped on the bristles of the flower, yelling out in pain. The Scottish were alerted to the attack, and managed to drive away the intruders.
