Winter Holiday Splendor Green and Red Cathedral Window - 18 Inch Pillow Cover

My second favorite time of the year is the winter holidays and I enjoy making these pillows in the wonderful colors of those celebrations.

This is for the pillow cover only. It takes an 18" square pillow insert. If you would like to purchase the pillow insert, please contact me through conversations and I will change the listing price for you. The pillow insert cost is $10.00 and shipping will increase with purchase of the pillow.

This pillow will add a touch of Christmas splendor to any room in your house. The top of this pillow is sewn almost completely by hand. It is considered a type of quilting, even though there is not any actual quilting on the pillow. It is a very labor-intensive pattern and the pillow cover is quite heavy because each white square is four layers thick. I took this traditional pattern and gave it a modern twist using batik fabrics. The fabrics are 100% cotton. It is very easy to remove the pillow because of the overlapping back which can be seen in the last photo. I used a green print batik for the backing on this pillow.

I pre-washed each of the batik fabrics that were used, until the water ran clear, but I would only hand-wash this cover in cold water and dry flat, as this will keep the fabrics bright for a long time.

I create in a smoke-free home.
