For the little environmentalist in your life...

One of the great things about my Paper Clips Journals is the focus on recycling and repurposing papers. Kids are certainly no strangers to environmentalism, as recycling and clean-up efforts are rightfully commonplace in our schools and communities and, yes, on our TVs. So, why not reinforce the importance of "going green" in a fun, creative way, via their own personal Go Green journal!

This Go Green! Journal is compiled in much the same way as my other kids' journals, but I am specifically focusing on vocabulary, images, activities, and colored papers related to nature and the environment. Activity pages are borrowed from Dover Publication's "Going Green" activity book by Becky Radtke (2008).

See my images above, and feel free to convo me with any questions. As with all my other journals, I will be sure to balance "empty pages" (blank, lined, graph, etc.) with text and decorative pages. This will allow your child plenty of room to write, doodle, and keep track of all the environmentally friendly things your family does each day! There are also a few envelopes for your child to write notes to friends and family (or Mother Earth?), collect falling leaves, stow away stickers... the opportunities are endless!

Oh, and don't forget to have your child peek inside the envelopes I include, because I love to hide stickers, tickets, vibrant international stamps, and other goodies that s/he will love finding and sorting through!

All my journals are conveniently sized to 4"x6" (perfect to fit in your purse/bag when you're on the go!) and are fastened with 1" binder rings. I use a decorative green recycled paper cover with a label for your child to write his/her name.
