Winter/ Long Sleeve, Hand Smocked and Embroidered Girls Dress Size 1

Look closely! What do you think? Did this sweet little bunny "borrow" the carrot from the little snowman's face, or is she bringing the carrot to give the little snowman a nose? Hmmmmm...She looks so sweet to me, but bunnies do get hungry in the winter when their gardens are buried under snow. The carrot in her hand looks awfully tasty~ Don't ask me- You decide~

This size 1 hand smocked & hand embroidered dress is OOAK and very unique. If you look closely you can see that there is a small white leaf print on the white cotton fabric. I've done the smocking design in white, so there is a second mode of "white-on-white." Because the smocking blends with the background you don't notice the design stitched that much, rather, the emphasis is on the interesting patterns created in the smocked pleats. A vignette is embroidered and smocked in the center of the bodice, and creates a little mystery; is the bunny innocent or guilty of taking the carrot?

The sleeves & back button placket have been hand-trimmed in forest-green blanket stitch. A small bunny has been embroidered between the first & second button on the back and a holly leaf and berries are embroidered on each collar.

This dress would make a wonderful, "Baby's First Christmas" dress and the great thing is that it isn't limited to Christmas. It displays a general winter theme, so it can be easily worn all season!

To complete the outfit, a complimentary matching hand embroidered pair of socks are included with this dress purchase~
