Hand-spun Llama Yarn, Grey with a touch of Brown-117 yards
Description
This yarn was personally spun on my Ashford Traditional spinning wheel using 100% llama fibers. These llama fibers came from a llama in Port Orchard, Washington from a cruelty free source. The llama's fleece was also washed and hand carded by yours truly. Please note that this is technically not a vegan item (sorry vegans, I hope you'll forgive me).The color is not dyed, this is the same color as the fleece was on the llama. The color is a drab grey with little flecks of reddish brown here and there. There are about 117 yards on this skein. 2 ply. In case you've never worked with llama fiber before, you're in for a treat. This yarn is super soft and silky.
**Please Note:
Hand-spun Yarn may contain certain characteristics such as bumps, color variances, and weight inconsistencies that yarn made from mechanical sources does not. We hope you understand that although these characteristics make this yarn imperfect, they also make this yarn special. The fibers in this yarn traveled between my fingers as it was lovingly spun on a spindle and/or spinning wheel. As I spin I think of the animal it came from, the people and land who helped care for that animal, and finally, I envision the yarn's owner and what he or she might make with it. Hand spinning fibers helps me see the world with new eyes, thank you for being a part of it, may it change you as well.
