Zen Classic Sweet Sugar - Hand Painted Sugar Bowl

Description

This is a very cute ceramic sugar bowl that is hand painted. Colour is an overall suttle yellow wash with darling detail in the brushwork. Double handles are accented with gold as well as the lid handle. Floral bunch is in the sumi-e style of japanese brush painting - very zen details!


This is a larger sized bowl, measuring approximately 4 inches in diameter. Stamped Made in Japan on the bottom.

Good vintage condition for its age. Probably made in the fifties or earlier. There are a few little rough spots on the rim of the bowl, only visible on close inspection (see last photo.) Gold on handles shows some wear but mostly intact.
