Beautiful Opaque Black Dichroic Tube Beads (4) Handmade Lampwork

Description

These lovely dichroic glass beads measure 10mm x 20mm. The entire surface features multicolor foils over opaque black glass; very appropriate for holiday dressing. Be sure to see the matching beads and pendant in my other listings. These beads are handmade lampwork from India. We buy directly from the manufacturer; we have a relationship with the factory and know that we can expect good service and a high quality item. Additionally, we have been assured that workers are treated fairly and with respect.

Recently I was told that Czech glass manufacturers are employing an increasing number of Indian companies to help produce their beads. The quality of Indian beads has thus really improved in the last few years, as they have access to better glass and a higher standard to which they must work. All the beads we carry have very clean holes, with no sharp edges, and most have very little to no bead release in the holes. There is a HUGE difference between today's Indian glass beads and those of the past. You will be pleasantly surprised if you use them in your jewelry creations.
