Pirate Argh OOAK Youth Refashioned Sweater

Ahoy Matey! Land Lubbers beware... once your little one gets ahold of this sweater, they won't ever want to take it off!

Sweet... 1 of a kind... beautiful craftsmanship... wearable art... precious... irresistible... these are the comments I hear when people see my children's refashioned sweaters. The sweaters are made from discarded recycled wool sweaters, and adorned on the front and back with beautiful needle felted designs. I felt the wool by washing it and drying it. I then cut up the sweaters, and make them into new sweaters for children, or into pillows, handbags, scarves, the repurposing list is endless! Each sweater easily takes me approximately 6-8 hours to create.

** N E W S F L A S H ** My sweaters are featured in the Fall '09 issue of Altered Couture! You can also find them at Austin's Gallery in Coronado, CA., and at Hello Bluebird in West Reading, PA. If I list them in my etsy shop, they will have gallery sales competition. Once the sweater sells in the gallery, I will remove the listing here. Each one is one of a kind. I might be able to duplicate the needle felting, but the sweater base isn't something that can be replicated. Please convo me if you have any questions. Comments are always greatly appreciated too ;o)

This sweater is approximately size 3-4. ( I size them big) The sleeve length measures 14", overall length is 16", and across the front is 16" as well. Please note, people who have bought the sweaters say they will have the designs made into a pillow once the child outgrows it. Or, just hang it up as wall decor. They are truly works of art!
