I can hear you saying 'I hate stitching with shiny rayon threads'. Yes, I used to feel that way too, until I discovered the easy secret. Viscose Rayon is easily filled with static electricity. When that is the case it is fly away and won't lie where you want it. The very simple trick is to work with a 'just damp' cloth beside you and gently stroke the yarn through this before starting to stitch. You will find that each stitch stays exactly where you want it and the sheen will be amazing.



So.....



Now that you know how easy it is why not treat yourself to one of these beautiful skeins. This 4-stranded rayon of the highest quality is easily broken down into one, two or even three strands. I use it frequently in needlepoint, for hilighting areas within crewel work or for couching for a great effect.





Hand-dyed by me this is a very stiking mix of colours! Mango, Pumpking, Gold; you'll find them all here - and hints of others too. It will be amazing stitched onto a plain or multi-coloured background, but of course there are other possibilities too. Perfect too for Crazy Quilting or any stitching technique that requires a spectacular thread it could also be incorporated into a scrapbooking or cardmaking enterprise.
