Hand Painted Bookmark in Autumn Foliage

These bookmarks are all about texture. The fall leaves turn color and fall off trees, you can hear the texture: shush-shush-shush of the leaves as you walk through them. The colors have darkened and with the rain, dirt begins to collect in the veins and you can see the beautiful fall colors highlighted.

These bookmarks are much the same- the paper has been procured from after market sources, it is Arches watercolor in an ivory, it is very thick and rich and creamy to the touch. I have hand cut each one and they measure (roughly) 7 X 2. They have been hand painted with no pencil guide so that the feel is purely organic in beautiful fall colors: olive, mustard, yellow, red, navy, taupe and dark pink. Aqua and black have been added to mimic the water and dirt.

They are hand stamped by me on the back and will come with a cardboard insert. This listing is for one bookmark, it may vary slightly from what you see here but they are all produced by my hands. They are very special, just as your time with your book and you are special, too.


All of my shipping supplies are purchased secondarily! This means I have intentionally procured bubble mailers and cardboard mailers from secondary sources (like Urban Ore or Creative ReUse Depot) that receive goods unwanted from businesses. Many are new but purchasing from the secondary market ensures they will not become a part of the landfill. This is very important to me and your mailer should come ready-to-reuse!
