Feeling Ziggish Polymer Clay Cabochon

Description

This large oval polymer clay cabochon is bright and colorful and full of zigs and zags. I created it by using the lizard tail technique which I learned from Julie Picarello (one of my polymer clay heroes.) But of course, I didn't make a lizard tail. I turned it into a cabochon.

The cab is 2 1/4" long x 1 5/8" wide (5.7cm x 4.2cm) and is between 1/8 and 1/4" (about 4mm) thick. The main colors are turquoise and purple with some slashes of lime green and splashes of yellow. The back is purple.

The cab is hand sanded using 5 different sanding grits and then hand rubbed for a soft satin finish.

Cabochons can be used in jewelry by using bead weaving and bead embroidery techniques. They can also be turned into pendants by gluing a bail on the back.

If you would like this cab turned into a pendant, please convo me prior to purchasing. I will add a silver plated bail and the cost will be an additional $2. The process of adding the bail will take one additional day before it can be mailed.
