ACEO - Night Cranes
Description
This ACEO, "Night Cranes," is one of a kind. It is designed and hand cut by me, from paper that creates subtle color effects; the backing is made from sparkly cream cardstock.Each of my ACEOs features original calligraphy - in this case on the back, which includes title, date, place, and contact info for me, the artist.
ACEO stands for Art Card Editions and Originals, an offshoot from the popular and frequently traded (never sold) Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) that were the brainchild of M. Vänçi Stirnemann, who held trading sessions for artists in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1996. I like them as a way of acquiring a small work of original art.
All ACEOs and ATCs are 2½ inches × 3½ inches (64 mm × 89 mm).
