Artemis Leather Mask (GBH 125)

Description

Artemis..the Goddess of the hunt, of wild untamed nature, and of the moon. She haunts the woods, the groves, and the meadows, where she hunts and dances with her attendant nymphs and oceanids.

Premium vegetable tanned leather wet molded and hand formed to create this fabulous mask.

Hand tinted with an acrylic gouache in scarlet red and glimmer gold with black highlights. Protected with a polymer finish. The inside of the mask has been left natural to allow for the leather to breathe and not crack. Elastic band keeps mask secure.
