Golden filigree Koi fish necklace with pearls and turquoise beads

I took a stunning, vintage koi fish vinegrette and added 8 golden fresh water pearls and gold filled, wire wrapped, turquoise beads to the 24" chain to create a truly unique necklace. The fully articulated, intricately detailed, sterling silver koi fish was probably made in the 1920's to 1930's in China. It is marked silver on the inside of the mouth (but it has a gold wash over it), which opens so you can add a piece of cotton soaked in your favorite perfume. I have added a fresh piece of cotton dabbed with amber scent, but you could certainly change it. The eyes are turquoise beads. The koi is about 2 1/2" long.Added on Dec 14, 2009
