Solid Walnut Itty Bitty Niddy Noddy

Description

A niddy what? A Niddy Noddy. These have been around since ancient times, in one form or another. They are used by spinners to simultaneously measure yardage and make a skein.

This one is hand made by me, from 3/4" and 1" solid walnut dowel. I've threaded the ends so it screws together making it collapsible - you can take it with you, or store it easily. Finished off with linseed oil.

This itty bitty niddy noddy is a 1 yarder. That means that for each revolution you make with your yarn, you will have measured off 1 yard.
