Natural Soap with no wacky colors-NO SLS, NO SLES in any of my soaps-ever!

This soap has the wonderful aroma of bergamot and grapefruit fragrance with a hint of Olive Oil fragrance. Bergamot has a fresh, sweet-tart, orange-fruit scent, with a slightly spicy balsamic undertone. Bergamot is named after the Italian city of Bergamo in Lombardy. I have added french red clay and powdered spinach for natural subtle colors and topped it with my signature shaved soap with dried calendula flowers and ground orange peel.

This soap is a combination of goats milk and clear glycerin. Additionally, I add EMU Oil and Vitamin E Oil for added moisture. Emu oil is extremely similar to that of human skin. Thus, it absorbs much more quickly and deeply into the dermis to provide the most effective moisturizing available. My soaps are free of abrasive chemicals, so you can enjoy knowing your skin is being cleansed and moisturized with organic gentleness.

It is possible to make soap with any plant or animal oil or fat (including cheap oils or grease), but I choose to make my soaps with the highest quality pure oils and butters. I use only the highest quality ingredients such as pure coconut oil, shea butter, safflower oil and goats milk resulting in a lavish and gentle Natural soap product. In addition to my high quality oils and butters I also use high quality ingredients to bring scent, color and texture to the finished soaps. At Happy Hound Soaps, my additives are high quality herbs, spices, natural colorants, essential oils or fragrance oils, chosen carefully to produce an unrivaled bar of natural soap.

Most of the cleansing bars that you buy at the store are detergents and not soaps at all. They are made from synthesized chemicals and are detergents containing petroleum distillates rather than oil. On the other hand, true soap is made from natural oils (such as coconut , safflower, olive and palm) and is a gentle cleansing product retaining its natural glycerin. While commercial manufacturers remove the glycerin for use in their more profitable lotions and creams, my handmade soap retains glycerin in each and every bar. Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it attracts moisture to your skin. Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process. Because of this, you must have a soap dish that drains to keep let your bar dry between showers.

All of my soaps are made in small batches (7 bars at a time). Each bar is handcut (5 oz plus), hand wrapped, and placed in a cellophane bag for gift giving. I love making soap that I know is not only pretty, but is good for your skin as well!
