Handmade HALLOWEEN Card, Whimsical Black Cat, Happy Haunting

Yes, I'm still fired up and working on more Halloween Cards. . .guess I'm a little late on getting my "inspiration" going this year. But, remember, even if you've already purchased your Halloween cards for this season, you can always stock up for next year!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the dimensional nature of the embellishments used on this card, this card is best suited for hand delivery. But, if the card needs to be mailed, I would recommend non-machinable handling (i.e., hand canceling) at the post office. The U.S. Postal Service adds a small surcharge for this service.

**I should also mention that this card is NOT suitable for young children, mainly due the small sized and detachable black cat embellishment.**

For the base of the card, I have used a pre-folded cardstock with a black, textured surface on the outside, and a non-textured plain white inside. (The back of this card is the black textured cardstock.)

For the card design, I have used a patterned paper with subtle orange swirls, dots, and stars on an rich deep yellow backgroud. I have also used textured Bazzill cardstock in a coordinating shade of orange.

Text is computer generated, printed in a fun and "spooky" kind of font, and hand-embellished with tiny dots of glitter, before being mounted to alternating layers of black and orange Bazzill and adhered to the card.

The whimsical little cat is a purchased embellishment. The cat has a rich black velvety soft surface, and his/her eyes and whiskers are made of resin/acrylic. The cat is adhered to the card with 1/16" glue dots for a slightly raised effect.

Additional embellishments include small square goldtone brads and black eyelash fiber.

The card is completely lined with a layer of lightweight plain white cardstock, and blank inside, leaving plenty of room for your own personal note.

The card is 5.5" X 4.25" in size, and comes with a white envelope.
