Blue and White Vinework Medium Serving Bowl

Description

This colorful bowl was hand painted using the traditional maiolica technique in a blue and white vine work pattern. The design of this bowl was inspired by classic ceramic designs of 16th century Italy. This bowl is appropriate for Renaissance reenactors to use for special feasts.

This bowl was hand thrown on a potter's wheel with earthenware clay and hand painted using non-toxic, food safe glazes. The bowl is 7 1/8 inches in diameter, which includes a 1 3/4 inch rim. The bowl is 1 1/2 inches high. This shape of this bowl was inspired by bowls from 16th century Italy where a wide rim allowed for elaborate decoration.

This bowl should be hand washed to prevent chipping.
