What do you get when you cross a pith helmet and a top hat?

The Captain Spaulding!

We have made new variations on our Captain Spaulding! Now your Captain Spaulding is more customizable than ever! Because of it's overwhelming popularity, we decided to cater to the creative.

We can make this hat in *almost* any color or fabric, with leather in several shades of brown and black, and a variety of laces which can be removed and replaced as easily as shoelaces.

Additionally, they can be made shorter or taller to your specifications.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

We now have grommets in three colors as well: black, silver and gold, so you can literally tie your whole look together!

All you have to do is ask and we can probably do it!


This particular top hat is made from a chocolate brown canvas. It has lots of top stitching and flat felled seams. The top of the crown has accents in brown distressed leather and bronze nailheads. The hat band is brown striped cotton threaded through leather straps and is finished off with a matching bow and tails in the back. The hat laces up through corset grommets both front and back.


The materials used in each individual hat may vary SLIGHTLY from one hat to the next. If you have any questions or concerns regarding fabrics or materials, please feel free to ask!

This hat is a customizable top hat. We ask that, upon payment, you inform us of your accurate head measurement. Be sure to measure your head carefully! Size matters!

If you are not 100% positive about your head size, we ask that you do one or more of the following:
Either take a picture of your head with a measuring tape wrapped around it,
Have a friend measure for you, several times to ensure accuracy, each hat size is a difference of 3/8" so the closer the better, or
Get your head professionally measured.

It is very common that customers don't measure their heads right, so in order to prevent any discrepancies, an accurate head measurement is vital!


All our top hats are made of fabric stretched over a rigid frame. These hats are very durable and fully lined.

As with all our hats, the materials used and the workmanship are of the highest quality.
