I have put together this kit so you can learn how to spin those GORGEOUS handspun yarns! Included in the kit is a top whirl spindle designed for beginners, a SPIN IT book from Interweave which is an EXCELLANT book in which to learn, and 2 ounces of our soft corriedale wool which is ideal for learning! I am also available via email should you have any questions or need further pointers! Makes a GREAT gift!

The Spindle: This beautiful Top Whirl Spindle is made from Birch Hardwood. It has an oil finish applied to preserve the integrity of the wood and to bring out its natural beauty. This measures 11" in length and has 2 notches for easy yarn placement while spinning. The hook is made from a custom designed wire which will not bend or twist. Its special shape helps ensure that the spindle will spin properly.

The total weight is approximately 45 grams which is within the ideal weight range for a beginning spinner (not too light or too heavy).

The Book: This little book will teach you all you want to know about handspindles and how to use them to make your very own yarn. Designed to appeal to the beginning spinner, tips and hints are provided that illustrate how easy, enjoyable, and relaxing spinning can be.
