Arterial - Blood Red and Cream Peyote Bracelet (3087)
Description
It amazes me how just changing the colors in a beadwoven design can change its entire look. The effect here is drastically different than its predecessors, Lightning at Midnight (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22645468) and Fractured (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22243198).A fellow beadweaver suggested, when I first listed Lightning at Midnight, that this design looked like blood vessels, and I have to agree with her. It's only fitting that I created this version, Arterial, while watching one of my favorite TV shows: Dexter. Who's your favorite serial killer??? :-)
Arterial is beadwoven in three-drop peyote stitch using creamy offwhite beads with a matte finish (kind of like pale skin, don't you think?) and dark cranberry color-lined beads with a glossy finish for the blood.
The bracelet measures 1-1/4" (32mm) and 7" (18cm) long, when clasped. The closure is a loop and toggle made from the same beads used in the cuff.
