original Painting on Cedar no.14

Description

This painting is one of the series of ink on cedar wood paintings. Inspired by the New Hampshire autumn which is around me currently, the forms and the wood speak to what is in my back garden and around my studio. Each piece is unique and created with a soy gesso wash and an acrylic ink painting. The wood was reclaimed from a local NH woodworker. I like using something which would otherwise be tossed away or not used. It is also beautiful as a backdrop for these simple yet elegant forms.

Each one is different - all measure approx 3 or 4 inches by 5 to 6 inches and are from 1/8th inch deep to 3/4 inches thick. They look great by themselves, or in a small group, perched on a shelf or they can be hung on the wall. Each one comes beautifully wrapped and packaged carefully for it's trip to your home.
