Blue Ocean Bird Lampwork Glass Bead by Crowbirdie Beads
Description
This bird, made with transparent deep greens and blues, was made with a swirling core of blue aventurine glass encased inside that reminds me of the ocean. He's very smooth and a delight to handle. He measures about 1 3/4" from tailtip to beak tip and I made him on a 3/32" mandrel. He would make a beautiful pendant but also stands on his own two feet very nicely. The swirls inside are subtle and sparkly but they are very hard to get across in a photograph!Crowbirdie Beads are carefully kiln-annealed and made from effetre, moretti, lauscha and vetrofond glass. Since they are made from glass they can be broken or chipped if mishandled, so please treat them kindly. Each one is unique, since I make them each by hand. That last photo shows me at the torch, creating a bead.
