DIY Knit Mitts Kit in Red, Yellow, and Orange

DIY Knit Mitt Kits are made by Trillium Artisans member Lee Meredith of leethal. You can visit her Etsy shop: http://leethal.etsy.com.

All leethal knit kits include the pattern and yarn that was unraveled from old clothing or bought second-hand, and acid dyed with food coloring and/or kool-aid.

With this kit, you will get enough yarn for 1 pair of ninja mitts (65-70 yards), dyed to make cool mitts (striped, or otherwise multi-colored), and the pattern. You will just need a set of size US 10 double pointed knitting needles and a tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

This yarn was made from a recycled sweater (or maybe several) so it might have a few imperfections or inconsistencies, which will just remind you as you knit that it's recycled! It should be gently hand washed in cool water.

Lee, also known by leethal, is a freelancing crafter and knit designer obsessed with yarn, thrift store scrounging, and color. She unravels tossed sweaters, custom dyes the reclaimed yarn with Kool-aid, food coloring, and natural dyes, and puts together kits with knitting patterns.
