raku fired jar with bird

Description

This jar was thrown on the wheel. It is about 6.5 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter. This domed shaped jar is enhanced by three decorative feet.

It was glazed with a wonderfully rich purple crackle glaze.
We make this glaze ourselves.

After it was raku fired a hand sculpted bird was attached to the lid. No molds were used!

There are 3 felt pads on the bottom of the jar to protect your furniture.

This jar is meant to be displayed for visual enjoyment. It would make a distinctive artful addition to your raku collection, or a gift for a bird lover.
