Victorian gothic black tourmaline rag and rosary necklace - Holy coal

Description

A beautiful rosary feature plate forms the central element of this simple necklace, a lump of rough-hewn black tourmaline hanging below like a lump of coal at Christmas.

The chain is a combination of various re-claimed chains, with two clasps so that adjustment may be had depending on your mood.

A rag tassel of vintage hand-dyed 60s chiffon is embellished with a vulcanised rubber sequin and a tiny faceted glass bead, both from the late 19th century.

Open the chain measures 57cm long. (Just under 22.5 inches.)
