Needle Felted Mini Nativity 1

Description

Celebrate Christmas with a teeny woolen version of the holy family! This little creche was inspired by a desire to have a beautiful and natural nativity for little hands.

The scene consists of 4 parts:

The creche stands 5 inches high, and is a dark brown wool on the outside, with purple and blue highlights inside inside. Mary and Joseph stand around 2.5 inches high. Mary and Joseph are both needle felted out of wool over a pipe cleaner frame with stitched eyes. Their clothes are needle-felted, and they stand on a wooden button and flat-felt circle for stability (i.e. little fingers can position them -- we can't have the holy family constantly toppling over!). Jesus in the manger measures 1.5 inches long. He is also needle felted with stitched eyes, sweetly bundled in his flat felt manger (Jesus is removable from the manger).

Created to be an heirloom that brings joy every time the Christmas box is brought out! That said, this scene will fair best with gentle rearranging and positioning. The figures are little, and not appropriate for kiddos that are still popping things in their mouth.

This nativity will keep for years if keep out of direct sunlight, away from marauding cats, and protected from sticky fingers.
