Custom Shrug Hoody

Description

Every shrug hoody I make is completely unique.

They begin as used sweaters of high quality which I re-tailor into a new body-hugging, high-chested, hooded silhouette. I then line the hood and body with complementary luxury fabric, and embellish the entire piece according to your dream vision.

Shown here is just an example, yours will be custom made to fit your individuality:

"Unfurling": Made out of a DKNY polo sweater, faux fur, suedecloth, bronze taffeta, and about 150 antiqued brass rivets and eyelets. A brass buckle closes the front.

The back view shows the fern spiral applique. It consists of two layers of taffeta the edges of which I singe for color and to prevent raveling. Then I appliqued the spine of the fern in suedecloth. Numerous passes of stitching create a shimmering, yet defined, look. The spores of the fern are created with about 150 antiqued brass rivets and eyelets of various sizes.
