Vintage Christmas Vignette Postcards - set of 5

Description

These were the text messages of the early 1900s!
They just took a little longer to arrive than those text messages of today!

Five vintage postcards.

All postcards are divided on the address side and embossed. All have messages written on them, and 4 have cancelled stamps. One appears to have not been sent through the mail. ALL have darkened some with age.

"Christmas Greetings" with bells, holly, and building with bridge. Holly is embellished with glitter. On back Series 103 C. Message on card is dated 1915. Card is in good condition, with some corner wear, and perhaps spots due to age.

"This Day Brings You Happiness: A Merry Christmas" with red framed mill scene and holly. In lower right corner: Copyright, John Winsch, 1910. On back: Stamped and postmarked, can only read 191_ of postmark. Card has dark spots due to age, and worn corners. One corner has a bend.

"Hearty Good Wishes for Christmas" with horseshoe vignette and gold embellishment. On back: Printed in Germany with number 2127. Stamped with unreadable postmark and no message, only address.

"With Christmas Greetings" and snowy vignette scene and train. On back: Printed in Germany. In lower left corner is image of a sailing vessel with E on the sail, and the letters M. S. ? ? and 4228. Card is stamped and postmarked 1914. In good condition with corner wear.

"Christmas Greetings" with bells and farm scene in rectangular vingnette. In lower left: B124 in green ink.
On back: Stamped and postmarked 1913. Card in good condition, with corner wear and one corner has a bend.
