labradorite and pyrite bracelet

Description

In this bracelet I have combined two of the most fascinaing stones I know - beautiful deep midnight blue polished labradorite irregular rounds are combined with randomly placed faceted pyrite rondelles.

I’m fascinated with pyrite, also known as fool’s gold. It’s sparkly and glitzy, yet earthy at the same time.

These particular labradorite rounds are a deep, rich blue with amazing blue, gold and green flashes. Polished rounds, slightly irregular, which adds to that rustic, organic look. I am no expert but I suspect they might be spectrolite labradorite, because they are that sparkly blue all over, whereas regular labradorite will at first glance appear grey, earthy and organic looking, and then you see the blue flash as you turn it or look at it from a slightly different angle. Labradorite can produce a multi coloured play of light across cleavage planes and in sliced sections that is called labradorescence.

this bracelet coordinates with my Midnight earrings, and Midnight blue earrings.

I have made it with the last beads from the strand, so this is a non-repeatable design.

Length 19 cm/75". I use 49 strand wire, sterling findings, crimp covers and wire guards for a sturdy and high quality finish on my strung pieces. Sterling silver lobster clasp
