Description

A reproduction of an authentic vintage pattern from around 1937 in a hard to find larger size. This is the perfect transitional pattern from day to evening- make the blouse to be worn in a fabric that can be worn for day or evening wear and just change your skirt to transition. Perfect for starting a vintage wardrobe, this pattern includes a blouse with optional short or long sleeves, a collar, and short or long peplum. It fastens up the front. The skirt is cut on the bias and is made in either street or full length for day or evening. Tuck the blouse in for a a businesslike look or make the skirt and blouse of matching fabrics for a two piece dress.

This reproduction is true to the original period pattern lines, but my printed pattern has additional markings for darts, pocket placement, etc. Please note that the original pattern had two large skirt pieces, but to conserve paper it is reproduced to be cut on the bias fold.

You are getting a printed copy of a hand traced pattern on good quality bond paper with print out instructions.
A copy of the original period instructions are included which can be difficult for the modern sewer to comprehend. Intermediate dressmaking knowledge and a muslin mock up of the pattern are suggested, as vintage fit, ease, and construction are different than modern standards.

This pattern is not available in other sizes. It has not been tested for fit.
