Copper and Nickel Hair Barrette
Description
Great medium sized adjustable hair barrette made of solid nickel silver and copper. The stick is also nickel silver. Nickel silver is a stiff metal alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc so it is quite sturdy. These barrettes are great at holding hair. Many people have told me these are the only things that actually stay in their hair. These also work very well as shawl pins.Each barrette I make is unique so the one you see here is the one you will receive.
*Measurements*
The barrette and stick measure 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) wide.
*Hair Barrette Instructions*
The barrette and the stick are each slightly bent so they will fit tightly together. Twist the stick to release it from the barrette and pull it out. To fasten, place the barrette on top of your hair and slide the stick through the barrette so the curve of the stick is down (like a shallow “u”) then twist the stick into place. You should hear it snap. If this is too tight, the barrette and stick are each adjustable. You can bend the barrette to have a slightly greater curve if needed.
