Handwoven Sash Celtic Knots

Description

Blue knotwork runs the length of the sash. It is contrasted against a rich brown background with a highlight of rust in the borders.
Woven on an inkle loom, the sash measures 2 1/4" wide and 67" long with an additional 6" of fringe on each end. I have left the fringe loose, but it could be braided or twisted for a different look. Please let me know if you would prefer this.

Although I call it a sash, it could also be used for a strap as these weavings are very strong.
It could be part of an historic costume or worn with modern day clothes.

This Celtic knot pattern is one of my favorite things to weave! The last photo shows a group which include variations on the pattern. Please let me know if I could do a custom sash or strap for you.
