Great book! Grimm's Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm as translated by Mrs E.V. Lucas and Lucy Crane and Marian Edwardes was published in 1945. Illustrations are by noted German born artist Fritz Kredel. Fifty-five stories are featured including: "The Twelve Dancing Princesses", "Briar Rose" (Sleeping Beauty), "Rumpelstiltskin", "Cinderella", "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", and "Hansel and Gretel"! Kredel's illustrations are classic and include both full page brilliant color plates and smaller black and white pictures.

The outside of the book has slight pen marks on and around the illustration on the front cover, spine is in decent shape with only 1 stain and a little wear on the bottom, back has a few worn spots. Inside front cover is marked at top left corner with the name and address of (presumably) a former owner of the book. The rest of the inside of the book looks great...illustrations are not marked. There is some bending to the top corners of a few pages. Overall, not too bad for a 60 plus year old book!
