Millefiori Glass Lampwork Novelty Bead Necklace

Description

Red, white and multi unusual irregular oval glass beads remind me of 1950s Italy, and make for a wonderful one of a kind necklace for lovers of interesting glass beads. The dimensional lozenges are contemporary, but the smaller variegated glass beads are vintage, purchased in London in the late 1980s. I’ve wire-wrapped the beads together using annealed iron wire (strong) and added rustic hammered copper rings and a brass lobster clasp as a closure.

Bead size: 24 X 32 mm or 1 X 1.25 inch ovals of luscious molded glasss

Red, white, green, and caramel swirls of intense color, sprays of gold luster confetti and sweet flower canes scattered throughout. There is something very Christmas-like about these beads together that would be great worn during the holidays, with red or white.

The necklace measures just under 20 inches long and is designed to ride above a scoop neckline. It’s comfortable and adds so much life to a simple sweater or shirt/T.
