SANTA CLARA POTTERY, NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN VINTAGE 1980s POT SOUTHWESTERN TRIBAL PUEBLO FEATHER BEAR PAW

Description

Here is a 1988 vintage pot signed on the bottom: "Pauline Salazar SC." ("SC" stands for "Santa Clara, NM Pueblo.") It is in excellent condition. It has no cracks, hairlines, chips, fleabites, discoloration, stains, or repairs.

This is a deep carved, black on black, geometric design featuring a feather motif and a bear paw, among other symbols. This piece is created entirely by hand.

It is 2" high x 3" wide, and again, this is blackware pottery by the Santa Clara potter PAULINE SALAZAR.

This piece would make a great start or addition to a Native American pottery collection! A great gift idea, too! It exhibits superb design and craftsmanship, and it should continue to increase in value. This is a cabinet size piece for the beginning or advanced collector of Southwestern Native American ceramic art.

I am the original owner. As with all of my Santa Clara pottery listed here on my Etsy site, I purchased this pot at the Santa Clara pueblo in late summer 1988, while I was on vacation in New Mexico. While I have enjoyed this piece for many years, now I am selling my Native American pottery collection, since I recently made a major purchase and want to pay off the financed portion ASAP.
