French Bulldog Original Summer Painting by Mister Reusch

I recently finished a new acrylic painting on 14" x 11" canvas showing a happy Frenchie rolling in summer flowers, and donated the first 10 signed and numbered digital prints to the first 10 people who donated $100 or more to French Bulldog Rescue Network. There are luminous paint highlights added to the flowers. This guy is #1 in my new seasonal painting and print series of French Bulldogs. The rest of the new "Seasons" series will be listed on the FBRN site and here on Etsy, too.

I've donated many originals and art prints to dog rescue groups and benefit shows, and in 2006 I started fundraising programs with http://www.bostonbuddies.org and http://www.frenchbulldogrescue.org. For each group, I created a series of four 14" x 11" paintings showing dogs running through the seasons; the background of each painting lines up with the others to create the illusion of one big panorama, though the background foliage changes in each according to season. Four times a year I sent one of the first 10 signed-and-numbered art prints from the series to generous donors who pledged $100 or more to either rescue group. These prints raised $8,000 for the rescue groups.

In the future I hope to start similar programs with Pug Rescue and the ASPCA.
