*♥*♥ NOTE: This dish has been discounted 15% (from $32 to $27) due to a few small light grey/black smudges on the top part of the dish, up by the Buddha's head-piece (see next to last thumbnail photo). It's not overly noticeable and does not in any way effect the durability of the dish as discolorations are underneath the final clear coat of glaze. ~*~*~*~ANIMATED INFORMATION~*~*~*~
The "AWAKEN" dish measures about 8 1/2" on the long side of it's oval shape, 7 1/2" on it's shorter side and is 1/2" deep. On the inside of the dish I painted a very simple image of a Buddha and the word AWAKEN. The literal translation of the word "Buddha" is: TO WAKE UP or TO BE AWAKENED, so, with this in mind, on the outside of the dish I painted a gorgeous, bright sunny yellow, like daybreak and long awaited beginnings. It is signed and dated by yours truly.

All of my handmade pottery is painted with lead free/food safe glazes. It is microwave and dishwasher safe, although I do recommend hand washing because my carefully made clay pieces, although very durable, happily deserve a little more love than commercially manufactured ware. Please do not put this in the oven!

This is a good sized dish for serving sides of foods at your table, or an individual salad, even your yummy sandwich at lunch time. Would also be fabulous sitting in the middle of your table holding fruit and such, and when not in use it can rest in a plate stand as an art piece! It would also make an inspirational and unique gift for anyone, especially your yoga instructor!! :)
