Autumn Moon

Description

The colour of falling leaves, the full autumn moon sits belly out, in the cool dark night.

Hand-crafted using a wet felting technique, each piece is a spontaneous creation and one of a kind. Starting life as a tiny seed of wool fibre, growing outwards and upwards an organic alchemy of fleece and hands.

An ongoing creative process, the variety of the form allows you to create, draping, wrapping and twisting. The knot holes felted into this piece allow you to sculpt and securely hold this piece around your neck, or shoulders.

Size: This piece is approximately 1.80 metres/ 6'

Colours: rust, brick, pumpkin, orange

*A NOTE ABOUT MERINO WOOL*
I was saddened to learn about the practice of museling on Merino Sheep in Australia, as a result of this I am now guaranteeing that all of my work is created with non-museled Merino wool fibre.
Things are gradually changing for the Aussie Merino's but until I'm 100% sure I won't be using it.
