Recycled Vintage Atlas Note Card Set ARGENTINA, PARAGUAY, and URUGUAY

Did you know that the residents of Buenos Aires are referred to a "Portenos" meaning "Port Dwellers?" You will when you get this set of 6 note cards with matching envelopes!

These recycled, hand cut, folded and glued envelopes give new life to a 1965 Life Atlas of The River Plate Republics - Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Matching blank cards feature additional images from the atlas to complete the set. Some envelopes and cards are in color, some feature black and white images.

Envelopes are (approx.) 5.25" wide and 3.75" high (large enough to mail!) and feature a self-adhesive strip. Cards are blank on the inside and stamped “88kitty” on the back.

In my desire to only showcase the best of each country in the “World Atlas” series – I have tried my best to omit pictures of war, military force, poverty and rebellion, focusing instead on presenting pastoral scenes and colorful images of daily life.

I would have had China as well, but when I was buying the Atlases a man who was visiting Los Angeles from China saw the China Atlas and started thumbing through it nostalgically. He was so delighted with it that after I paid for the set I gave him the China Atlas. Welcome to America! (I certainly couldn’t tell him I was going to cut up his childhood memories and make envelopes out of them.)
