A fun and colorful ring made of chrysoprase from Australia. Yes, it is a huge chunk of chrysoprase...but it is surprisingly comfy to wear. Now you can always have a crystal on hand, so to speak.

I make my stone and wire rings from hand-selected gemstone beads and high quality recycled sterling silver wire. I file the ends of the wire so that my customers do not get scratched. :)

Chrysoprase, used by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians in jewelry and other ornamental objects, is a gemstone variety of chalcedony that contains small quantities of nickel. It is related to agate, carnelian, and onyx. The word chrysoprase comes from the Greek chrysos meaning 'gold' and prason, meaning 'leek'.

Chrysoprase is mentioned in the Bible as being one of the twelve gemstones set in the foundations of the city walls of Jerusalem (Revelations 21:19). It is the tenth stone.

Chrysoprase is believed to elevate the conscious and insight, and to bring clarity. It's also a good luck charm for sea travel.
