"The Thames Barrier"

A slight variation from the park series, another around my studio... I cycle past the wonderful Thames Barrier, which is next to the industrial estate with my studio.

The Thames Barrier is a series of shining silver dome-like structures that support a network of underwater barriers - it protects London from flooding during high tides.


Acrylic on canvas, wrapped around hardboard. Ready for framing or to place as it is on your favourite shelf!

I studied painting and printmaking privately with Greenwich artist Annette Johnson. This was supplemented with classes at London's City Lit, Morley College, and Blackheath Conservatoire of Music and the Arts. I'm a fulltime artist working from my studio in southeast London.

My work has been exhibited throughout England and is in private collections both here and in the USA, Europe, Australia, Japan and Ireland. As well as various galleries I've had the pleasure of being included in shows at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, the National Maritime Museum, the Mall Galleries with both the Pastel Society and the Royal Society of Marine Artists, and the annual Cork Street Exhibition for Charity.
