Burgundy journal cover

Description

Ideal for writers, artists, designers, quilters... anyone who writes or sketches ideas in a journal. Alternatively, this cover is suitable for protecting a standard paperback book (or hiding its title from curious onlookers on a plane or train!).

I made this journal cover from a variety of burgundy/maroon fabrics, and lined it with a complementary burgundy fabric with white dots, and used a white fabric with burgundy and blue dots for the inner sleeves.

I used a variety of free motion stitching on the front cover, in various matching rayon threads.

NOTE: Placement of the fabric may vary -- it may not be exactly the same as the picture

The finished journal cover measures 13 x 8.75 in (33 x 22 cm) when opened out, and can take a journal or notebook up to 6.5 x 8.5 in (16 x 21.5 cm; or A5).

Fabric protector has been added.

To keep postage and shipping to a reasonable rate, I DO NOT provide a notebook/journal with the cover -- the photos with the notebook inserted are only to illustrate how it looks.

This cover has been well constructed -- it takes 3+ hours to make, so the price really only reflects the cost of materials.
