The Key to Serenity (Lampwork and Metal)

Many people search their entire lives for the key to peace, the key to harmony, the key to serenity. Well, I can't actually help you achieve Nirvana, but I can give you a symbolic key to Serenity! But not THAT kind of serenity...

In some towns, the mayor gives out symbolic keys to the City. On the Firefly class freighter Serenity, a few lucky folks have symbolic keys to the ship. No, of course they don't work in the ignition (seriously, have you ever seen someone use a key to start a space ship?) No, they don't open the doors. And no, they certainly won't get you into Inara's shuttle or the stash of meds in Simon's sickbay. The key merely shows that you are welcome to come and go as you please, at least until Mal says otherwise.

Antique skeleton key with a lampwork bead hand-formed right around the shaft. The bead spins freely, and features a swirl of cloudlike patterns reminiscent of a gas planet's clouds or a nebula, with inclusions of copper mesh inside. From the top of the key hangs a small copper tag stamped with "Serenity". The tag is shaped like a leaf, in tribute to Wash's expert "leaf on the wind" piloting skills. The key is quite long, about 3.5" (8.9cm) in length. 18" (46cm) copper-plated chain included.

NOTE: While I will probably make more of this style, this exact bead and key are one of a kind.
