One handmade journal as follows. One of a kind.
* Signed and dated (2009) by artist (me) on first interior page.
* 4 3/4" wide x 4 1/4" tall
* 40 blank pages (to be clear: 20 sheets, blank on two sides, except page one has impressionist-painted-look rocks, which is a nice looking piece of recycled children's pop-up book)
* Bound with light blue cord, approx. 1 cm. wide, of a woven look (also recycled)
* semi-hard-cover is handmade from varying papers
* interior first page includes as mentioned above rocks image, and white ribbon with attached tiny square silvertone accent - stamped with simple star-shaped image of person with arms/legs out in dance and an even tinier heart stamped below that

NOTE ABOUT SERIES:
These handmade blank books were crafted over the summer of 2009. Having had a difficult year, in more ways than one, I took some time to be quiet and creative, and was inspired to create each journal as a unique design.

MATERIALS:
papers, recycled children's book cutout, woven cording, glue, metal punches and scissors... silvertone accent piece as described above...

USE-FULL-NESS:
Jotting down directions to places you want to return to... composing your own notes or poems... journaling your dreams... memories of times with your toddler... mounting your pressed flowers... "honey- do" lists... a grocery list that will make you smile when you pick it up...

OTHER GIFT IDEAS:
I think these would make a great gift "as is", or altered by you (for example) filled with written- or picture- memories. For man or a woman (non-feminine in appearance), or a child (beyond choking-risk-age).
